When I got to work last night, I parked next to a guy who was on top of the line. Not a huge deal, but it’s not hard at all to double check these things. So, I left him a little note just to make sure he realized he did something wrong. Nothing rude or anything. Anyway, I came out at the end of the night to find my note stuck to my car. For one thing, he had no way of knowing who wrote it, so he just slapped it on the nearest car and only happened to guess right. But then, what the hell, man? It’s not like anyone did anything wrong but you.

That's a pretty passive aggressive note, I'd do the same to you. And who else would have put it on his car but the person next to him?

Could have been a different car parked there before me, or even just some guy who noticed it later.

I won’t deny it was a passive-aggressive note, but I’m sick of how often people hog two spaces at my theater. It’s the busiest one in the entire state, and we really do need every spot available.

You say the lot is usually pretty tight, any chance the hugging the line did so because there was another car parked next to him that was hugging it? The reason I ask is because on more than one occasion when getting gas I have pulled in behind the lead car in the three pump island. After pumping gas and I go inside to get a drink, the lead car pulls away. Now I am the only car in the middle of the island. Some one will almost always say, “You are supposed to pull up to the first pump, you know.”

It’s possible, but whatever. If I knew I was being wrongfully accused, I’d just throw the note away and forget about it.

That note isn’t rude, but it is condescending. To me, unless you watch the person park, you’ve got no business leaving a note...you don’t know what the parking situation was when you got there. Honestly, the whole ‘leaving passive aggressive notes that say things you’d never say to the person’s face because they did some minor thing you didn’t agree with’ trend needs to go away right now.

Once I parked next to a really crooked car and left. I came back to a note stuck on my windshield telling me to park properly. wtf.

random thoughts

I feel like the internet has this thing out for passive agressiveness, as if there is something wrong with it like being blatantly agressive is better. its just a buzzword everyone throws around like an insult.

Oddly I feel that the internet has this thing out for any aggressiveness. If you say you would slap the shit out of somebody for [insert rational reason] you’re automatically labeled “a tough guy” as if standing up for yourself is wrong somehow.

Neither form of aggression is a good thing. If you feel compelled to leave a note in this situation there are ways of doing it without dinging the intelligence of the other parker.
